How does Reiki and Behavioral training help pets?

Reiki sessions are helpful for pets with chronic pain, unsettled minds, behavioral issues, past trauma, end of life transitions and health challenges.

Those pets with behavioral problems, such as social anxiety, fears, aggression, excessive barking, biting or scratching may also benefit from the calming energy of Reiki.

What animals do I work with?

I will work with any type of pet, and have the most experience with dogs.

What is Reiki?

Rei Ki is Japanese for 'Universal Life Force Energy'. Also known as Chi, Prana, or Ti, Ki is the energy that animates all living things and maintains a state of vitality.

What is a Reiki experience like for your animal?

The recipient animal will have an opportunity to choose to become comfortable with the Reiki practitioner. Your pet may choose to lay down, wander around, be close, or stay distant from the practitioner during the session.

If your animal is comfortable and chooses, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or over specific areas of the body for several minutes. If there is a particular injury or site of energy blockage the practitioner may remain in that area for some time.

Reiki is a different experience for every animal. Some may experience an immediate calming, others may become more animated, and still others may notice a more gradual or delayed response.
